PT is an essential part the solution to the COVID-19 problem we are experiencing. Recently deemed an essential service by the federal government, PT has had to make adjustments to our practices in order to accommodate the COVID-19 threat. The amazing thing about physical therapy is we’re keeping patients out of emergency rooms and doctors’ offices, thus lightening the load of the US’s already overstrained healthcare system. We are treating many ICU nurses that are telling us that if we were not open they would not be able to work and take care of the most critically ill COVID-19 patients and other seriously ill patients.
