Chelsea received her undergraduate and Master’s degrees from The University of Montana Missoula, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and an Orthopedic Section member. Her areas of interest include orthopedics and manual therapy.
When she’s not in the clinic, Chelsea enjoys running, skiing, hiking, camping, cooking, and spending time with her husband and dog.

Heather grew up in Orlando, Florida, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Sports and Fitness from The University of Central Florida. In 2013, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has continued her education with courses and certifications in orthopaedics, manual therapy, dry needling, Kinesio taping, and sports medicine.
Heather enjoys working with competitive and recreational athletes, as well as geriatric and post-operative patients. She has experience treating a wide variety of diagnoses of the extremities and the spine. She utilizes therapeutic exercise prescription and movement analysis in combination with manual therapy to optimize the recovery of her patients.
Heather moved to Portland in February 2018, and has two dogs and one cat that keep her busy. In her free time she enjoys camping, working out, wood working, finding new places to discover in the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with her family and friends.
Glen AkersPT, MPT, Clinic Director
Glen Akers, PT, MPT, is a physical therapist and the Director of the Gresham Clinic. He is also a Partner in ProActive Physical Therapy Specialists.
Glen completed his undergraduate degree at Oregon State University and his Master of Physical Therapy degree from at Texas Tech University. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine.
His areas of specialization include ASTYM, TMJ/TMD dysfunction, work conditioning, physical/functional capacity evaluations, and industrial rehabilitation.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys cycling, baseball, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Jenny Curtis, PTA, is a physical therapist assistant at the Gresham clinic.
Jenny graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy. She is Graston Technique certified.
Jenny’s areas of interest include work conditioning, orthopedics, cupping, balance disorders, and geriatric conditioning.
Outside the clinic, Jenny enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, going on cruises, scuba diving, and spending time with her husband and dog.
